Karl Linder is a senior leader in social housing asset management with over 30 years of experience driving organisational change, improving risk understanding, ensuring value for money, and leading strategic programmes across the sector.

He has supported major housing associations across the UK, delivering large-scale improvement plans, complex integrations, and regulatory recovery initiatives.

Karl’s expertise spans strategic asset management, building safety, property compliance, data collection, and business planning. Since joining ARK Consultancy in early 2023, he has delivered over 10,000 stock condition surveys for six clients, conducted asset management system reviews, and led assessments of Decent Homes and compliance reporting. He has also undertaken multiple property compliance reviews and worked in interim roles to support clients following regulatory scrutiny—helping them understand and improve their performance.

In addition to his executive work, Karl has held national leadership roles, including Chair of the National Housing Maintenance Forum and board member at WATMOS Community Homes. He is widely respected for his technical knowledge, focus on resident safety, and practical, solution-oriented approach.
