Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund – Bidding window opens for Wave 2
Applications for Wave 2 funds open the week beginning 20 November 2023 with up to £80 million of grant funding available from April 2024. This time there is a shorter delivery window than the first, so if your housing association wants to bid, you’ll need to get started.
Proposals should encompass a minimum of 100 eligible social housing properties in EPC bands D-G per bid. Applicants with fewer than 100 eligible social housing properties in EPC bands D-G are encouraged to submit a bid as part of a consortium, to meet the minimum threshold.
However, there are exceptions though. Recognising a shorter delivery window on Wave 2.2 and if it’s not possible to form a consortium despite every effort, applicants may submit a bid with fewer than 100 homes provided they offer strong justification. In such cases, it’s expected that bids should be as close to 100 homes as possible.
