Regulatory Standards Training

By Victoria Tomlinson · 17 January 2024

I recently had the pleasure of running ran a Regulatory Standards training session for one of our long-standing clients. The focus for the training was how the Development Team contributes to compliance with the standards. It can be difficult for teams to link their day-to-day activities to the requirements, but it is essential that everyone understands their responsibilities and what the Standards mean for them.

The session gave an overview of the Regulator’s role, how they work with the Ombudsman, provided a detailed look at both the Economic and the Consumer Standards and then included two interactive sessions. These sessions gave the team time to identify how the work they do links to the Standards and how they can feed into their Board’s self-assessment processes. It was fabulous to see each team member engaging and understanding how they are relevant for them.

The session also gave the team an opportunity to talk about risks and pressures they face plus provided invaluable team building time. Now most of us are remote working, training sessions are a great opportunity to bring colleagues together and strengthen connections.

If your team would benefit from a bespoke training session that brings the Regulatory Standards to life for them don’t hesitate to get in touch.
