Honouring Ian
In December we lost our loved colleague Ian Winslet (pictured on the left with son Sam and great friend Philip). Ian, a previous Director of ARK was a social housing person through and through. But he was also a petrol-head and owned a Primrose Yellow Triumph TR6.
In one of his many ARK projects, Ian led the team at Kingston on Thames delivering Everyone In at the start of the Covid Pandemic, this work with homeless people built on a career-long interest in helping the most vulnerable in our society.
In his memory this year, we are hosting an event.
Coffee. Cars. Bikes and Housing
Are you a housing person (someone who manages, maintains, designs, or builds or is otherwise a “housing” person) and own an “interesting” (your definition) car or motorbike come and join likeminded colleagues at our inaugural Coffee, Cars, Bikes & Housing morning in rural Warwickshire to raise funds for two causes close to ARK’s heart. They are.
Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund | Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund – Researching the cures (pcrf.org.uk)/ and St. Basils: Home (stbasils.org.uk)
Entry
As we are raising money for two charities, we are asking for a minimum entry fee of £20 per car or bike. For this inaugural event, we have 100 spaces up for grabs.
