ARK’s Ambling so far: Jo’s journey
While I am no Kevin Sinfield, I wanted to do my bit for our charity walk and to support our team.
My health check said I moved 30 steps the Saturday before. I have made a concerted effort to move more and join in with our fundraising. We have been fitting in lunch-time walks and on Saturday we went for a ‘big walk’ over the Moors.
Snow had fallen over the two days prior, so I have to admit I was a bit like a ‘kid’ at Christmas walking in the white fields. We had a great walk in the outdoors, clocked up some miles and got covered in mud and had to lose the coat half way… but Ed did not mind.
I did, however, manage to slip down the majority of the 10 steps to the carpark, fell flat on my back, and now I sound like an old creaking gate when I move – my daughter thinks I’m hilarious and keeps saying: ‘Mum you walk like nan.’
Who said exercise is good for you? It’s a good job it’s all for a good cause!
