ARK Amble – Our progress so far

By Chris Seeley · 7 December 2021

We are progressing well with our miles and towards our target of raising £1,500 in support of Shelter Cymru.

This week’s big shout outs go to all those who have sponsored us so far including generous contributions from SerContractor, Keystone Fire Safety and Faithorn Farrell Timms. We estimate that we have walked from Chester to South Stack on Anglesey. We have walked through Flintshire, Denbighshire, and Conwy Local Authority areas and are now at the Isle of Anglesey. Housing Association areas we have walked through include First Choice Housing Association Limited, Grŵp Cynefin, ClwydAlyn, Wales & West Housing, Denbighshire Housing, North Wales Housing, Cartrefi Conwy and Ty Glas Housing Society. We would love to hear how your organisation is helping to raise awareness and tackle homelessness. Please feel free to share our journey on your social media.

Last year, 1 in every 169 people in Wales came to Shelter for help. 41% of the households they helped included children. Despite their efforts, Shelter Cymru estimates that more than 1,500 children in Wales will be without a home this Christmas, that’s why we wanted to make Shelter Cymru our charity for this December’s Amble.
