The Community Housing Group (TCHG) – New Build Housing Programme
Background
The Community Housing Group is a Registered Social Housing Provider and a Co-operative and Community Benefit Society with charitable aims. Community Housing delivers a variety of homes and housing related services to tenants and residents across Worcestershire.
Community Housing is the largest social housing landlord in the Wyre Forest District.
Approach
Community Housing appointed ARK to support their New Build Housing Programme. Our consultant managed a small development team and provided Head of Development services, including:
- Managing schemes, end to end
- Reporting to the Executive Team and Board
- Drafting and reviewing development procedures
- Risk management
- Sourcing land opportunities
- Managing the development and sales team
Outcome
Initially, our consultant was charged with sourcing land and S106 opportunities to feed a target programme of 100 homes per annum.
He was successful in bringing forward 240 plots for approval and those schemes are now being worked through.
