Our case study with Valleys to Coast Housing

Here at ARK, our expert consultants have been carrying out important and difference-making work for over 35 years. When Director Kieran Colgan told us in the marketing team about the successful work he had completed with Valleys to Coast, a South-Wales based housing association, on their damp and mould and repairs processes, we knew it was a success story that we really wanted to share.

Video is a powerful way of sharing such stories, and having the skills and equipment on the team here at ARK to produce a high quality video meant we could plan and create something completely in-house. We set about planning a video in which Kieran and V2C Chief Executive Joanne Oak would talk about the work and the reasons it was needed.

We headed down to Bridgend in early March and completed the filming at Valleys to Coast in just a few hours. This included the interviews themselves and ‘B-Roll’, additional footage which helps keep the viewer engaged. This even included drone footage of one of the areas in V2C’s area of responsibility.

Joanne was refreshingly honest about the problems Valleys to Coast were facing, that their processes for dealing with reporting of repairs, and crucially, damp and mould issues were falling short, and customer confidence was in decline. Kieran talks about how ARK look at the ‘why’ as much as the ‘what’ when reviewing any organisation and it’s problems.

The result is an informative video showing the viewer what was achieved at Valleys to Coast, and how ARK played a vital role in that.
