The ARK Amble 2024: Raising funds for The Ootsider

By Pete Evans · 2 December 2024

The ARK Amble is returning for its fifth year and this time we are heading north! Our intrepid team will collectively trek 1590 miles on our virtual walking fundraiser and we need your support to raise money for a fabulous cause.

This year, we are raising money to support The Ootsider, a Scottish-based non-profit CIC. This fantastic organisation creates high-performance waterproof robes and coats, popular with wild swimmers, dog walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts. All net income from sales goes toward making handmade Ootsider sleeping coats, which are donated to vulnerable homeless individuals living on the streets. All the money we raise will go towards making more of these sleeping coats for homeless people.

Please give generously via our fundraising page here.

The route will start at our offices in Birmingham and go up to Scotland. We will pass through and then join up with the famous North Coast 500 which winds its way around some of Scotland’s most stunning coastal scenery before we walk back down to the finish line in Brum again.

All throughout December, we will be donning our hiking shoes and striding out on pavements, streets, lanes and fields wherever we are to ensure we cover the miles on the journey – whatever the weather and even over Christmas!

We will start walking on 1st December and you can keep track of how we are doing via our website and LinkedIn.
