ARK Assistant Director Kirsty Wells welcomed Vikki McCall, Professor of Social Policy at University of Stirling, Shaun Harley, Interim Chief Executive at Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, and ARK Executive Director Helen Scurr to speak in our webinar about how social landlords can improve organisational culture and staff behaviours and attitudes towards tenants and residents.
The event was a success, with more than 40 attendees and some great engagement throughout.

Our work with Lincolnshire Housing Partnership was discussed in the video;
In July 2024, LHP commissioned ARK to carry out a full organisational culture review to provide a clear baseline of colleague behaviours and attitudes to support a wider change programme. Over two weeks, we facilitated 27 workshops with 250 colleagues across all service areas and ran an online survey with a 75% response rate. We also held workshops with managers and engaged with customers through eight sessions, a customer forum, and a survey completed by more than 400 customers.
The review identified challenges around communication, recognition, progression and wellbeing, which we explored further through additional workshops. Our recommendations to the Board and Executive Team included strengthening internal communications, reviewing middle management effectiveness, embedding better performance management, and refreshing colleague wellbeing support. This work gave the CEO a clear and transparent picture of LHP’s organisational culture, enabling the launch of a new culture change programme and shaping the recruitment of dedicated experts to lead it.
We can help your organisation to drive meaningful change in culture, reviewing and improving communication with staff and residents, management effectiveness, staff wellbeing and more. Get in touch to find out how.
