Tuesday’s white paper included an announcement of the new brand for the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) soon to be called Homes England. With a revised remit of managing government land for redevelopment and building homes across tenures. With the changes to regulation it seems the HCA will look more like the former English Partnerships body.
Meanwhile De-regulation will come into force on 6 April 2017 and registered providers will no longer have to obtain HCA consent to undertake a range of activities including disposals, restructures and some constitutional changes
