ARK’s Graduate Programme

For the last 12 weeks ARK has been hosting two Post Graduate students from Coventry University undertaking International MBA’s. The students are offered the opportunity to undertake their dissertations by working in a business focussing on a particular aspect of the business. ARK attended an open event at which the students find out about the company and the project/s and it gave us a first chance to meet candidates. We then interviewed the students interested in working with us and from that process we selected Marie Wylie and Dominque Lachinger who have today been presenting their reports relating to ARK’s CSR agenda and our approach to HR and particularly our on-boarding strategy.

ARK has an evolving partnership with Coventry University and we have now hosted 4 Post Graduate Interns as part of our Graduate and CSR programmes. The outcome has been a win-win-win for ARK the University and the students. Ranjit Johal the Post-Graduate Professional Development Manager from Coventry University is delighted with our contribution and said: “ We are really pleased to be working with ARK, they are a very supportive partner who fully engage with the process, provide interesting challenges for our students and then offer great support to the students whilst they work with the ARK team. ARK truly values the contribution of our students”.

Helen Scurr ARK’s Director managing this year’s programme endorsed the approach saying “It has been a pleasure to work with the students and with the University. This year’s cohort of Coventry University students has been extremely strong and we were delighted when Marie and Dominique agreed to work with us. Dominque and Marie have produced first class reports that will help to enhance everything we do”.  Dominique, from Munich, has enjoyed her time working in the business saying “this has been a great experience for me. The ARK team have been challenging and fun to work with and have given me a new perspective regarding working with SME’s. I would recommend future students work with my friends at ARK”.

We are now looking forward to meeting and working with next year’s cohort and to strengthening our relationship with the University.
