Be an Administrator at ARK

Based at ARK’s new office in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter

Salary c.£18k-£20k

We are pleased to advertise for another member of the team to join us aboard ARK. Please feel free to identify friends or family who might want to join us.

We have an immediate requirement for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person to work within our existing Birmingham-based office administrative team, reporting to the Administration Manager. The ideal candidate will need to be personable, highly IT literate, fully conversant with Word/Excel, have strong organisational skills, as well as being a fast and accurate typist. The ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines is essential. Working in a very varied role, you will also need to be confident on the telephone and have a professional ‘can do’ attitude.

Must have GCSE C grade or above in English and Maths and at least one other English language subject (History / RE / Geography etc.) as well as a secretarial or administrative qualification or demonstrable experience in a similar role.

 

Be a Technical Support Coordinator for ARK

Based at ARK’s new office in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Coordinator to provide technical and commercial support to our CHIC Team. ARK Consultancy Limited (ARK) acts as Agent for the Central Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC), a consortium of social landlords focussing on collaborative asset management solutions.

This role involves day to day contact with members, offering technical support and answering queries. The ideal candidate will have good organisation skills and be able to communicate at all level within the organisation and with clients. You must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Whilst predominantly an office based role, you will be happy to travel if required.

The ideal candidate will need to be personable, highly IT literate, fully conversant with Word/Excel, have strong organisational skills as well as being a fast and accurate typist. The ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines is essential. You’ll build effective working relationships with CHIC’s existing and new partners, and will have to manage their expectations and make appropriate challenges when necessary, so it’ll help if you’re confident, curious and proactive.

Must have GCSE C grade or above in English and Maths, good A Levels and ideally, a degree or other qualification. This role would be ideal for a new graduate or someone with construction industry experience.

 

Be a Senior Data Analyst at ARK

ARK Consultancy Ltd is looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst to support the ARK Team in managing our extensive asset database and providing an analysis and reporting service.

The experienced analyst will lead the delivery of rapidly changing projects and reporting data across the organisation. The role focusses on the collection, validation, interpretation and presentation of data. You will be involved in monitoring existing data sets, growing and developing our database and reporting capabilities.

We need someone who has a strong data background, is used to extracting information from systems and undertaking data analysis, as well as presenting information in reports and dashboards. The ideal candidate shall have a strong attention to detail and the ability to present and communicate data analysis effectively. Working in a varied role, you will also need to have the drive and determination to work under pressure, whilst developing insightful ways to help ARK’s clients to understand and improve their performance.

Experience:

  • Data analysis experience of 2+ years
  • GCSE B grade or above in English and Maths, good A Levels and a degree (or equivalent workplace experience)
  • Highly IT literate, fully conversant with Word/Excel
  • Some database or GIS knowledge or experience

Be a Development Manager for ARK

We are currently looking for a Buildsmart Development Manager to provide technical and commercial support to our CHIC Team. ARK Consultancy Limited (ARK) acts as Agent for the Central Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC), a consortium of social landlords focussing on collaborative asset management solutions.

The successful candidate will liaise with the Buildsmart suppliers and work with them to provide efficient newbuild solutions. The role is pivotal in supporting CHIC’s members to translate opportunities into cost effective newbuild homes.

You will be actively involved in ensuring CHIC stays “ahead of the game” with respect to service offering, business model and operating methods. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to make a significant contribution to supporting CHIC’s members to deliver their development programmes.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Housing development knowledge and experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • A drive and enthusiasm to get things done
  • A determination to challenge the status quo
